About Me

I am Dr. Abilash Kasi, a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Jaipur. With years of experience in psychology, my work primarily focuses on addressing anxiety, depression, couples therapy, and trauma. My academic journey started with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from PSG College of Arts and Science, followed by a Master’s in Applied Psychology. My research has been centered on understanding character strengths and personality disorders, with my doctoral thesis titled, “Validation of Character Strength Scale among South Indian Adults.”

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. In this role, I guide postgraduate students, helping them explore clinical psychology and psychodiagnostics, while also engaging in research and scholarly publishing.

In addition to academia, I am the founder and Principal Psychologist of The Sanguine Minds Psychology Clinic. Here, I offer psychological assessments, counseling, and therapy to individuals, couples, and families. My therapeutic approach is holistic, collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, focusing on mental health awareness and overall well-being.

My published work includes studies on occupational stress, behavioral problems, mindfulness, and more, with articles appearing in reputed journals and Scopus-indexed books. Furthermore, I have contributed to discussions on environmental ethics, the impact of AI on mental health, and digital education. I have presented research at national and international conferences, emphasizing the importance of resilience, delegation, and well-being in both clinical and organizational settings.

Driven by a passion for psychology and a commitment to mental health, I actively seek to expand my knowledge through continuous learning and professional development, having completed certificate courses from Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, and UNESCO MGIEP, among others. Whether working with clients, teaching students, or conducting research, my goal is to foster a deeper understanding of mental health and provide compassionate, evidence-based support to those in need.

Specializing in Anxiety Treatment, Depression and Couples Therapy

Anxiety

Life can often feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety starts affecting your daily routine. My approach to treating anxiety is rooted in evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices. Together, we’ll work on understanding your triggers and developing coping strategies to help you regain control and live a more peaceful life.

Depression

Depression can leave you feeling stuck, isolated, and hopeless. But with the right support, healing is possible. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we explore the underlying causes of your depression and create a plan tailored to your specific needs, utilizing techniques like therapy, lifestyle adjustments, and personalized strategies.

Relationships

Healthy relationships require effort, communication, and understanding. Whether you’re facing conflicts or want to strengthen your bond, I provide relationship counseling that helps individuals and couples develop better communication skills, understand each other’s needs, and work toward a more fulfilling connection.

Couples Therapy

Every relationship faces its unique challenges, from communication issues to unresolved conflicts. In couples therapy, I help partners identify patterns that may be causing disconnects and foster an environment of mutual respect and growth. By working together, couples can rebuild trust and reignite the passion that brought them together.

Trauma

Traumatic experiences can leave lasting effects on your mental health, making it difficult to feel safe and secure. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, helping clients process their experiences in a healthy way, build resilience, and regain a sense of control over their lives. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to your needs.

Adolescent Therapy

The teenage years are filled with change and challenges, and it’s common for adolescents to struggle with issues like anxiety, depression, identity, or peer pressure. I work with teens in a safe, supportive environment where they can express themselves freely and develop the emotional tools they need to navigate this critical stage of life.
